SNAP Food Resources and a Healthier You
Having access to nutritious food is an important part of your health. You may be eligible for food resources.
What is SNAP?
SNAP stands for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. SNAP used to be known as food stamps. SNAP is a benefit that helps people and families buy food to stay healthy.
- Your household could be eligible for SNAP benefits. The Mississippi Department of Human Services will determine if you are eligible for SNAP.
- Applying for SNAP is easy! Apply online through at https://www.mdhs.ms.gov/help/snap/. You can:
- Fill out an online application.
- Print and mail the application.
- Ask for a paper application by mail.
